"Writing is not my favorite part of being in a band. It’s a literal exercise. Like, sometimes I get physical headaches from thinking too hard. This pains me for a few reason, one being that I am not even the type of writer who writes very complicated lyrics or stories in our songs. I write feelings, but I’m also not the best at expressing my feelings. It’s easy to post a joke or a status update on twitter, 140 characters at a time, but writing down your every emotion about any certain situation is a completely different monster. All that to say, who I am in a social setting can be quite different than the person I am when I’m jogging my mind to figure out what it is I actually want to say. Even if it’s something simple."
